Chart of Planting Guide (or at least how I decided I was planting it)
So when I downloaded this Mod I was just simply overwhelmed with all the stuff. So using this wiki I made this spreadsheet (it's in google sheets; yeah yeah I know kinda overkill but whatever) to make planting slightly less overwhelming. Thanks guys!
I'm retiring.
Hey.
So I've been the beaurecrat of this wiki since the start of the year and it was fun. Due to some in real life issues and just no longer feeling like I'm able to contribute to this wiki properly, I'm leaving. I've removed the beaurecrat and admin ranks from myself and will no longer be active. If you want to adopt the wiki, please visit here for information.

Amaranth: The Mis-Utilized Grain
Amaranth is quite mis-utilized in pam's harvestcraft. Currently it is able to be used to produce flour and basically little else, but this is a sever misinterpretation of this grain.
Amaranth + Mortar and Pestle should result in cornmeal instead of flour. From a gameplay standpoint, flour can already be made with 18 items excluding amaranth. That is a TON of things, and especially since wheat itself is both used for flour AND quite overabundant it is honestly a waste to have yet another flour ingredient. Meanwhile, cornmeal can only be made with corn while it is used to make 8 items, and indirectly is used in a total of 35 recipes. Before you say "but yeah, its cornmeal. It should be made with corn," hear me out.
Cornmeal products are used a…
How to Make an Informative Page
When I first started writing pages, I was pretty clueless. I had to figure things out on my own. Along the way, I picked up on some things to help me write consistent pages that had all the informative that they needed.
Firstly, I found these links very useful:
- Crafting Table Template
- How to Classify Food Items
I quickly learnt how to set out a food page nicely. One of the best examples of this would be Miso Paste. This page has a food classification (Morsel), how much hunger it restores, how to make the item, and a "Uses" sections to show what it can be used in. Not every food item has a use, other than to just be eaten. If this is the case, simply don't include a Uses section.
When I made pages, I often forgot to add Categories. Categories ar…
My first blog post (and how I discovered Harvestcraft)
New to the Wiki
Hi. Just hi. I've been playing Minecraft for so long, that I got boerd with Vanilla Minecraft. I decided to download this mod, but it lagged so much, that I dropped it. I came back to it about a year later, and now it works.
That's just my first horrible blog post. I bet no one's gonna see this anyway, cuz I never comment on things. Whatever.
Confusion With Versions
Update: A new version is now out! Check out 1.12.2zc!
Hey!
Recently, I have had multiple people ask me about the new crops that have been added to the Crop and Garden pages. These crops HAVE been added, and if they are not in your game, you do not have the correct version. Please always keep up-to-date by regularly checking this page here. The top download is always the most recent and is the one that you always want to have. As of the time that I am posting this, the current version is 1.12.2zb. This is the version that added the new crops that people have been confused about. If anyone else asks me about these crops, I WILL be linking them to this blog post.
Thank you for reading!
